The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally, but not essential, have experience within Hardware, Agri Retail, DIY, Gardening or a similar role
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be willing to adapt and take on new challenges and be flexible to the business requirements
  • Ensure highest standards of merchandising and presentation of the store
  • Have the ability to work on their own initiative

Our Store is open between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and 8:30am to 1:00pm Saturday, excluding Public Holidays.

IT Support Engineer- Thurles

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join our team.  Based in Thurles, the successful candidate will provide remote, telephone and on-site support across our business network. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, but some degree of flexibility will be required outside of normal working hours.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist with the management and maintenance of our IT infrastructure including servers, network equipment and workstations
  • Ensure the availability, security and performance of our systems, implementing necessary upgrades and improvements as required
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests, addressing and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Identify opportunities to optimise and streamline business processes through effective use of IT systems
  • Implement and enforce security protocols and best practices to protect sensitive data
  • Conduct periodic security audits and assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities
  • Assist with IT projects, from planning and resource allocation, to implementation and evaluation
  • Have the ability to follow through on tasks
  • Possess excellent communication skills, with good attention to detail
  • Be highly organised and manage their time effectively

 

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.  This role may suit a recent graduate looking to develop their experience and skills.
