Cabragh Wetlands Trust

Boasting 200 acres of wetland habitat, and home to a stunning variety of Irish flora and fauna, the Cabragh Wetlands are a hidden environmental treasure on our doorstep. Established in 1993 following the closure of the Sugar Factory, significant development work has been carried out at the wetlands including the construction of walkways, information signage and a visitor building. The Trust’s vision of conservation, education, recreation is delivered by a committed team of volunteers, and we are delighted to support them in their efforts with a three year schedule of investment in their education programme.
